MeetingPal began with a practical problem. As an owner, trustee and chairperson of a self-managed complex, Poena le Roux knew how much work sits behind a community meeting.
He first designed MeetingPal in 2017, with the needs of sectional title schemes in mind — including votes counted in both number and value.
When remote meetings became a necessity in 2020, that idea found a new urgency. Poena revisited the app to help his own body corporate meet and make decisions while its members were apart.
Today, MeetingPal brings that first-hand understanding to bodies corporate, associations, professional bodies and trusts. The aim is still simple: make participation easier, and meeting administration lighter.

Founder & ownerAn IT professional with more than three decades of experience, Poena brings software expertise and practical experience as a trustee and chairperson. He holds a BCom from the University of Pretoria and an MBA from Bond University.
